Strathmore buys Aurora

Strathmore buys Aurora

Strathmore Resources, based in Kelowna, B.C., has consummated an option to purchase the 360-acre Aurora uranium property in southeastern Oregon.

Aurora is a large, low-grade, heap-leach property that had been drilled by Placer Amax' with a proven uranium reserve of 17 million pounds. The deposit is planned to be an open pit, heap-leach operation.

Strathmore has staked an additional 2,700 acres surrounding Aurora; permitting will begin this summer. The acquisition brings Strathmore's drill- indicated resource in the western US to 40 million pounds of uranium, and a potential resource of about 100 million pounds.
