UMETCO in Wyoming

This uranium mining and milling site shown to the left is being reclaimed by UMETCO Minerals Corporation. It is located in the Gas Hills of Wyoming. This aerial photograph was taken in 1986. It was included in a paper entitled Land Conditions at the Gas Hills Uranium Project: Materials License No. SUA-648 which was presented by John Hamrick at the Joint Nuclear Regulatory Commission - National Mining Association Uranium Recovery Workshop which was held in Denver, Colorado on March 12 - 14, 1996.
